Video Tour of North Okanagan Flying Sites and Pilots

Postby siteguide » Wed Jan 30, 2013 11:06 am

A video tour of our North Okanagan Region flying sites. Enjoy!
- I hope our contributors know how much we appreciate them for this!

This list includes: Sicamous, Blue Grouse, Bolean, (Baldy) King Eddie, VernonMt, Coopers, Saddle Mt, Pincushion Mt., Big White, Shannon Lake and Black Knight.

The North Okanagan is a proven XC area, having hosted many Canadian National Championships - dating all the way back to 1975.
Lots of sites covering all wind directions, all quite close together... and the region features a spectacular variety of alternative recreational activities.

Plan your XC routes with Tom Paynes excellent XC Planner.

Thanks to Doug Nitichie, flyok.ca now features Youtube Embed Video Images's in Forum Posts.
(You can edit older posts to update them.) Thanks Doug!

Pincushion Mountain in Peachland (a "Secret Site.") - by Jerry Mason

A 30 minute hike puts you at this beautiful spot over looking Peachland at 2600' AMSL.
It's interesting landing at the community centre with the field surrounded by power lines, trees, buildings and main road!
