Soaring Information and Weather Notes:
For your HAGAR Canadian Airspace information, see: http://www3.telus.net/cschwab/viewer/ca ... space.html

Wire assist required above 18 MPH. Launch can get tricky in stronger winds.
May be a good idea to have someone on your front wires.

Times to Fly:
Good morning site, but can work all day.

Description of LZ:
The small flats 400 metres from the north east end of the airport directly below the site.
As there is no airport manager here, you may also land within the airport boundries provided you don't conflict with other traffic.
Check out the area before you land here. The old drive in theatre in town was used although this can get a little turbulent in stronger winds.
The slope to the east may be a source of trouble if you come in too high as there is nowhere to go if you overshoot.
The LZ MUST be checked out before you fly.

Other Information:
Class E Controlled Airspace from 2200' AGL (Airways V325, also V323 immediately to the south)
Class B controlled airspace above 12,500' ASL. Re-set your altimeter to the accurate launch altitude before flying.

Call Transport Canada Flight Services Station at 250-376-7941 prior to any XC flight near the Kamloops control zone.
Fly around the 5 mile control zone, not through it.
FSS will require information about where you are flying from, where to, what time period, expected altitude and if you carry a radio.
