OSA's annual Mara Fly-In June 25, 26th 2011.
Out and Return XC to Armstrong, Spot Landing Contests.
This is a Free event. Just be sure to be HPAC insured (or USHGA if you are a US resident.)
Pot luck BBQ Saturday night.
A Notam will be applied for through Transport Canada, at least 7 days in advance, which should clear us for airspace up to 11,500' from Mara south to Grinrod, where it drops to around 9000' ASL due to proximity to the Kelowna Airport.

The Fly-in is held each year the weekend before Savona's "Longest Day of the Year Celebration" which is usually held on the Canada Day long weekend.
Camping at the WHISPERING PINES R.V. & TENT PARK
RR#1, Site 3, Comp 2, Highway 97A Mara, BC V0E 2K0
Contact # 1-780-542-7380 Evenings Ab time 6 - 10 PM
Please reserve a camping spot well in advance via VISA etc, as it's early in their busy season. The campground manager lives in Alberta off season. She prefers that campers contact her by telephone so she can get reservation info rather than using their slow dial up E-mail: whispines@hotmail.com

Should the Noose Mouse Days Fly-In be reinstated if we can get a PG launch opened again? Wayne Bertrand had one half a Km on the point west of the HG one.
Failing that - transfer it to the Mara Fly-In?
